We are looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to lead our busy restaurant and conference team. We have two restaurants, a bar and busy conference facility. The successful candidate will be able to manage and build the skills of our team in a busy F&B operation. The goal is to maximize sales and ensure we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES *Manage all F&B day to day operations of the department *Provide excellent levels of internal and external customer service *Identify customers needs and respond proactively *Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel *Ensure policies and procedures are being followed *Comply with all health and safety regulations *Duty Manager shifts will be required TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE *Proven F&B background and ready to take the next step *Working knowledge of POS systems and MS Office *Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently *Mastery in delegating tasks *Communication and leadership skills *Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices *Current Managers Certificate *MUST have the right to work and live in New Zealand This is a hands on role with the expectation that you will work a variety of shifts and have a presence on the floor in the department. Shifts will include mornings, evenings & weekends as dictated by business demands. The salary offered will be based on experience and the knowledge you bring to the position.
