Assistant Director - Christchurch, New Zealand - New Zealand Government Summary : We seek a strategic leader to deliver student success initiatives throughout the undergraduate journey. The Assistant Programme Director will lead operational oversight across all student success initiatives, reporting to the Director of Student Success. This role is crucial in leading pan-university change, connecting delivery with faculty and specific service unit expectations of student success initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead operational oversight across all student success initiatives
Develop and implement robust frameworks for student advisory services and student success programmes
Oversee the delivery of enrichment programme content in alignment with university strategic priorities
Connect delivery with faculty and specific service unit expectations of student success initiatives
Requirements :
Significant experience in an education or tertiary environment
Proven track record in enhancing student engagement, support services and outcomes
Master's degree in education, educational psychology or related discipline
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Knowledge in analysing and utilising data to inform programme development
Commitment to inclusiveness, participation, recognition, support and sense of belonging in an education setting
Natural leadership skills to lead and develop a highly motivated team
Skills in managing and maintaining budgets
Experience working with external funding agencies and key stakeholders
Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga of cultural practices and traditions, and valuing te reo Màori
