Assistant Director - Christchurch, New Zealand - New Zealand GovernmentSummary: We seek a strategic leader to deliver student success initiatives throughout the undergraduate journey. The Assistant Programme Director will lead operational oversight across all student success initiatives, reporting to the Director of Student Success. This role is crucial in leading pan-university change, connecting delivery with faculty and specific service unit expectations of student success initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Lead operational oversight across all student success initiativesDevelop and implement robust frameworks for student advisory services and student success programmesOversee the delivery of enrichment programme content in alignment with university strategic prioritiesConnect delivery with faculty and specific service unit expectations of student success initiativesRequirements:Significant experience in an education or tertiary environmentProven track record in enhancing student engagement, support services and outcomesMaster's degree in education, educational psychology or related disciplineExceptional interpersonal skillsKnowledge in analysing and utilising data to inform programme developmentCommitment to inclusiveness, participation, recognition, support and sense of belonging in an education settingNatural leadership skills to lead and develop a highly motivated teamSkills in managing and maintaining budgetsExperience working with external funding agencies and key stakeholdersActive commitment to upholding the values, tikanga of cultural practices and traditions, and valuing te reo MàoriWhy Work at UC:Generous employer contribution to superannuationFive weeks annual leave and five days university holidaysUC Parental Leave and Government paid parental leaveFlexible working arrangementsSupportive working environmentProfessional development and study opportunitiesUnique working environment in a beautiful campus
