Assistant Cook   The job is f ull time permanent in Auckland. The minimum work will be 32 hours pw and maximum will be 46 hours pw. The minimum wage is $26.50 ph and maximum wages will be $32.00ph. Over time will be $40.00ph. Applicant   who is New Zealand Resident or Citizen must mention in his CV.   Job Description:   ·         Assist to aet up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment ·         Help to prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) ·         Assist cook food in various utensils or grillers Assist to storing food in temperature-controlled facilities ·         Assist to check food while cooking to stir or turn ·         Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Help to may plan menus and estimate food requirements ·         Assist keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen ·         Assist ensure all food and other items are stored properly ·         Help to check quality of ingredients ·         Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages ·         Help to examining foodstuffs to ensure quality ·         Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements ·         Assist to regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment ·         Help seasoning food during cooking ·         Assist to portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes ·         Maintain Health and safety instructions   Skills and knowledge This is an authentic Indian cuisine and the applicant should have the knowledge. There is no requirement of work experience or qualification; we will provide basic training when you start the job. You should have positive attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is busy. You should also have good interpersonal skills in order to coordinate duties in the main chef and cook or manager and kitchenhand. You should mention if you are a New Zealand citizen or resident and you will get extra credit.
