Description Join a small established team in the Construction Industry. We have a position available for an Assistant Project/Contracts Manager. Successful applicants must have:
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines
Excellent planning experience and familiarity with Gantt charts
Excellent problem-solving and risk mitigation skills
This role is suited to someone who is confident and familiar with all aspects of project management, must be well organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail. We would consider training a recent graduate with some project management experience and have a preference for someone who has prior trade experience in carpentry. We will consider an experienced Project Manager from a different industry if the skills are transferable. This role will involve coordination with the Operations Manager and Foreman on site, and can be client facing so applicants must be well-presented and professional in all aspects of the role. This role will include:
Liaison with clients/foreman and our Operations Manager
Contract administration
Procurement of Sub-contractors
Cost controls, budget monitoring and reporting
Ensuring variations are monitored and processed correctly
Site visits to ensure projects are running efficiently and to schedule
Checking and processing of payment claims
You will need to be a New Zealand Citizen or have a valid New Zealand Visa, hold a current driver's licence and have experience with project/contracts management.
