The Chemistry Laboratory is a small, dynamic team that provides testing and problem-solving services to this industry. ABOUT YOU You will have a tertiary qualification in Chemistry with a National Diploma in Science, B.Sc. or equivalent. As a Technical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Technicians and contribute to completing routine tasks on time, within specified procedures and guidelines. Other desirable qualities you may have: Solid experience working in an IANZ accredited Chemistry Laboratory Ability to be a strong team player , work collaboratively with others within the team and across the business Excellent operational focus with time management and prioritisation skills A problem-solving mindset , ability to deliver results in a time-constraint environment. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a permanent fulltime position based at our Palmerston North site, working under the operational guidance of senior laboratory staff Performing laboratory and sample preparation and analytical tasks in accordance with established methods and standards Preparation of instrument-specific or department specific reagents as needed Calibration of Laboratory equipment Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation Full training in specialised techniques will be given to the successful candidate Washing of glassware and general cleaning around the laboratory WE OFFER Free health insurance, an annual hearing check, & flu vaccination, plus flexible working hours option.
