We are currently looking for Assistant Bakers/Production Operators to join us at our Quality Bakers Auckland site. We pride ourselves on the quality of our baked goods and you will become an integral member of the manufacturing team ensuring each and every batch is produced with the highest consistency. Reporting to the Team Leader, the purpose of this role is to make a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing ingredients, baking and packaging bread and small-goods products to the standards required.
Shift pattern available: Day shift, Monday to Friday
Pay rate starts at $26.06 per hour Key accountabilities of the role include: Understand the ingredients used in the baking process to be able to make adjustments to batches to provide quality and consistency.Learn to understand and master the whole production line making the difference between good and great.Work for an essential food services industry producing key products for your community.Participate in developing and mentoring others completing baking qualifications.Make an active contribution to the team environment through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to help build team performance.Adhere to food safety procedures and company policies.Ensure machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner.Meet deadlines in a busy work environment.About You To be successful in this role you will need: To have completed Level 4 plant Baking NZQA qualification or equivalent.Experience in plant baking using automated equipment.Strong numerical and literacy skills.Health and Safety certificates (preferred).Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred).Strong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplaces.Passion for bread and baking with a willingness to continually develop your learning.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.A positive work attitude and professional manner.With sites spanning across the Australasian region our employees have the opportunity to fashion their own homegrown career across functions, locations and brands.
