What we will offer you: A competitive remuneration 50% childcare fees for your child (if relevant) Wellness support services Some work flexibility for work/life balance As Assistant Accountant, you are responsible for providing ongoing professional support to all Kindercare personnel and internal/external customers. This will require you to handle enquiries and responsibilities efficiently and with a positive, encouraging demeanour at all times. As the service continues to grow, you will contribute to the development and implementation of organisational change.
Within this role, you will be responsible for providing professional, timely, efficient, and effective accounting support whilst ensuring deadlines and requirements are consistently met.
Some of the duties include: Processing and oversight of Accounts Receivable and Payable, including receipting, supplier invoices coding verification, creditor batch payments and reconciliations Assistance with the preparation of monthly payroll Preparation of monthly accounts for related entities including bank reconciliation and all adjustment entries, balance sheet reconciliation and processing of GST returns and payroll Assistance with any other duties within the Finance function within the Kindercare group of entities as required About you You'll need to be somebody who thrives in a busy environment and is comfortable implementing new systems and processes. Additionally, we're looking for:
Relevant experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable processing, reconciliations and preparation of monthly accounts for smaller entities including bank and balance sheet reconciliations and review Studying towards or have a relevant finance qualification Relevant payroll administration assistance experience in a previous role will be an advantage Have a good understanding of NZ PAYE and GST calculation and filing requirements Experience using Financial Systems (MS Office, Accounting and Payroll software packages) What you will offer us: Know your way around technology and be a fast learner Have strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude A committed approach to promoting excellence in every aspect of work Ability to handle a variety of tasks concurrently and prioritise A totally flexible and co-operative attitude with a willingness to get the job done So, if you have a heart for developing each child's potential, and a mind-set to grow and support others, get in touch today, we'd love to chat.
