With one of our staff members going on maternity leave in the new year, an opportunity exists for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Rosedale. This will be a fixed term contract covering maternity leave from January - December 2025.
Reporting to the Team Leader of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for a range of accounting functions including:
Strong, accurate data entry
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Reconciliations
Debt collection
Extensive use of electronic banking software
Whilst training will be provided, the core skills of being computer literate, organised, accurate, with good attention to detail, are the essential starting point.
Prior experience in a similar position will be crucial, while possessing a degree in accounting would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will also find enjoyment in finishing tasks, collaborate effectively with others, possess keen attention to detail, have excellent data entry skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
We function as a cohesive team in an open-plan office, comprising 7 members in the Finance Team. Our management upholds an open-door policy, readily available to offer assistance whenever required.
