The OrganisationValue Tyres Ltd (VTL) is a NZ owned national organisation and a recognised leader in the automotive industry as a tyre importer / wholesaler and distributor.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our small team based in our Head Office in Christchurch.About you – you will be:Preferably 2+ years experience in an accounting or bookkeeping rolePrevious experience of Xero (or similar accounting software) would be an advantageHighly organised, detail and accuracy focusedAbility to multi-task, problem solve and work in a fluid office environmentAdvanced experience in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applicationsDiscretion in managing confidential and sensitive informationStrong team player but able to work independentlyWhat your new role involves:Report to the Financial Controller and support all aspects of the finance activities in the businessDemonstrate accurate and fast data entry skillsFlexible and able to juggle multiple priorities effectivelyFinancial support with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting assistance as and when requiredQuality customer service and interactionWe are interested in hearing from you if you have excellent commercial acumen and can model the behaviours which support our values of Passion, Accountability, Safety, Customer focus, Teamwork.A competitive salary that will match your competencies and attributes is on offer, along with the opportunity to be part of a very progressive and successful organisation.
