Join a market leading companyKey role in the finance teamBusy and varied role Parks Garage is family owned and operated and has grown to become NZ's largest specialist towing operator. They are Canterbury's oldest and most trusted towing company, and have been servicing the South Island for over 95 years. More recently they have opened a Wellington towing depot that now extends their reach and range of services into the North Island and creates further growth opportunities, so they are adding this new role to their finance team. 
Role Description Support the Finance Manager by maintaining accurate and up to date financial records in all accounting areas. Assist and provide back up to manage the processing transactions related to AP, AR, credit control, payroll, bank account reconciliations, including debit/credit cards etc. Complete the more complex customer invoicing that requires interpretation of the different customer agreements. Open new customer & supplier accounts and maintain those databases. Perform more complex account reconciliations and analysis, including any correction journals. Be a first point of contact to respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders to resolution (such as accounting entries, recharging, and reimbursements). Oversee the banking, complete the revenue allocations, bank reconciliations and update the cash flow projections daily. Develop skills across all the business systems so that with time you become a super user. Manage the maintenance of the fixed asset systems. Support and provide back up for the Finance Manager with regular reporting, ad-hoc analysis.  Role Requirements Strong all round accounting skills with a desire to keep developing your experience.Have an agile approach with the ability to multi-task in a busy and varied role.Enjoy working in what can be a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Systems skills including the use of excel spreadsheets for reporting. Good communication skills for a role that does work to support the operationsFormal qualifications are not essential so will also suit candidates who are qualified by working hard and building their practical experience.
