Assistant Accountant

Our ClientOur client is a leading investment company with significant property and other investments in New Zealand and Australia. Their diverse portfolio of investments includes commercial, industrial, subdivisions, retail, hotel property and private equity. Reporting to the Head of Finance and located in Christchurch, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of accounting tasks and play a crucial role in daily bank reconciliations, invoice processing and supporting the Finance Team with various accounting tasks. In addition, you will support tax compliance work, month and year end procedures, as well as additional duties as needed, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting and administrative tasks. Your Skills and ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you will have had experience within an accounting firm or inhouse accounting team. You will also be confident with Excel for data analysis and reporting aswell as being proficient with accounting software; experience with NetSuite would be advantageous.
