My client is a global leader when it comes to investments in their market. With over 18 locations around New Zealand, they are known for delivering results, client excellence, and recognising employee performance and contribution. Due to growth, they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to start in February/March alongside the Senior Accountants in the group. This is a full-time permanent position.
The successful candidate will undertake transactional tasks in their assigned portfolio, assist the management accounting department in any financial requirements relating to current or potential client needs, and ensure that all financial compliance and controls are adhered to and in line with the company's policies.
Other responsibilities:
Assist with preparation and filing statutory required returns relating to the clients.Assist with the preparation of all invoicing and manage debtors to ensure timely payment of outstanding amounts and handle account queries from those debtors in a prompt and efficient manner.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.Assist in managing monthly cash flow for assigned portfolios and reconcile cashbooks at the end of each month.General accounting duties, investigations, and other duties may be required of you from time to time.Attendance to Client Monthly management meetings as required.Core Competencies & Role Requirements:
2+ years' successful experience in accounting/finance.Ability to provide quality output within assigned deadlines.Strong oral and written communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Strong problem-solving skills.Intermediate Excel (Lookups, pivots etc.) is desirable.Self-motivated, a strong work ethic, and deadline-focused.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.If you are a motivated, deadline-focused individual with a strong attention to detail, and have experience in a similar role, I encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
