Join us.We're looking for an Asset Technician (Three Waters & Waste Minimisation) to join our Strategic Asset Management team in Queenstown.What you'll be doing / He aha te mahiYou will play a key role in assisting our Property & Infrastructure (P&I) directorate to deliver effective and sustainable three waters and waste minimisation services. This position focuses on maintaining high-quality asset data, improving asset management processes, and providing technical support. You'll ensure data from construction and vested assets is accurate and complete, enabling robust decision-making.The role will involve:Maintaining and improving asset data accuracy in GIS and Asset Management Systems (Technology One, RAMM)Providing technical assistance for asset management plans, condition assessments, service levels, and valuations.Developing expertise in QLDC's asset systems, creating training resources, delivering user training, and supporting analytics for internal and external stakeholders.Promoting best practices in asset management, maintaining data submission standards, and contributing to strategic alignment with operational goals.What you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to PukekaYou will have at least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role or proven expertise. Knowledge of spatial analysis tools, such as ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro), and experience with asset management systems for Roading, Property, or Three Waters assets are highly desirable.
