Position: Asset Planning ManagerWe are seeking an Asset Planning Manager to lead and manage the team of asset management (AM) specialists responsible for the asset management coordination and planning functions at Auckland Transport (AT).
This role will maintain and actively improve the quality and effectiveness of the AT asset management framework objectives, specifically the: AMP development, maturity assessments, continuous improvement and department level change management as it relates to asset management objectives.
It will also support the Chief Engineer to embed a culture focused on continuous improvement and maturing of asset management across AT aligned to relevant international and domestic standards (ISO55000 & AMMAT).
Key Responsibilities:Management of the asset planning team and associated professional services contracts, ensuring staff workplans are aligned to AT business objectives, coordinated, tracked and achieved.Developing, reviewing and implementation of the Asset Management Framework (AMF) elements, including strategies, guidelines, service levels, templates and other supporting artefacts across the asset portfolios.Provide leadership and strategic advice to enable consistency of implementation across the AMF, including management of key assumptions, risk interpretation, etc.Work with the Asset Managers and Science and Sustainability team to prepare the asset management plans for the portfolio groups.Own the Auckland Transport Activity Management Plan and integrate the individual portfolio three-year forward work programmes / maintenance, operations and renewals (MOR) funding bid to NZTA with the Finance team.Oversight and monitoring the effectiveness of the renewal forward works and other investment programmes, across the AT asset portfolio.Minimum Requirements:4-year (honours level) bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, business or science.Qualification in infrastructure asset management.Minimum 15+ years' experience management of technical, or asset management teams.Implementation of continuous improvement and change management.At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
