We are now seeking a highly motivated & experienced Asset Planner to join our Recreation, Sports and Events team. More People. More Active. More Often. About the role | Ko te mahi nei In this role, you will lead the development and management of asset management for the Recreation, Sports and Events Unit. You will be required to drive continuous improvement and implement positive change across our network looking specifically at systems and processes. Some of the key responsibilities will be: Develop and coordinate a programme for the ongoing collection of Recreation, Sports and Events asset data.Work collaboratively with teams throughout the Recreation, Sport and Events Unit to integrate effective asset management processes into daily work practices.Provide asset reporting to the Recreation, Sports and Events Unit.Build and sustain relationships and communication with other asset management teams to ensure best practices in asset management are adopted Council-wide.Offer technical advice and support on asset management to the broader Recreation, Sports, and Events Unit.To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum 7 years of relevant asset management experience.Knowledge of legislation, standards and planning processes related to asset management.Ability to analyse data and present findings in meaningful reports and recommendations.Strong technical skills in the area of information technology and digital tools.Proven track record of keeping good relationships with stakeholders through solid communication and networking skills.The ability to make technical information easy to understand and use for front-line and non-technical staff.If you're a strategic thinker with great communication skills and a passion for asset management, we'd love to hear from you. Hours of Work: 18 months fixed-term, full-time hours.Location: This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street, with additional onsite work required at any of our Christchurch City Council facilities.Salary: This will be discussed with the successful applicant.What's in it for you?
