Employee Benefits: 5 weeks annual leaveMedical InsuranceFree car parkingLyttelton based with harbour viewsAbout the role: An exciting vacancy has come up within the Lyttelton Port Company's (LPC) Asset Management and Planning team, for an Asset Performance Engineer. The role will see you providing professional, qualified mechanical engineering expertise to support the Asset Management and Performance Manager in the delivery of the strategic planning, design and peer review services for all LPC assets. You will help to develop and implement asset maintenance with a focus on availability, reliability, continuous improvement, and minimising cost.
About you: You will be someone who enjoys engaging with stakeholders from all levels, both internal and external. You will be highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills, and someone who enjoys resolving sometimes difficult issues. You may be someone who has recently completed their degree, looking to put into practice everything you've just learnt, or perhaps you have a couple of years work under your belt and are looking for your next step!
Skills and experience: Tertiary degree in Engineering (Mechanical)Demonstrated ability to be analytical and apply technical knowledge to achieve outcomesStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to use Infor M3 or a similar ERP systemPrior experience working in an industrial environment or within asset databases is desirable, but not requiredAbout LPC: We are Lyttelton Port Company (LPC), the largest Port in the South Island, committed to Leading the Way for our people and our region.
