About the role Our Asset Management team is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join us as an Asset Management Technician. Your responsibilities will encompass the management and operation of asset management information systems (AMIS), reconciling capital spend with new assets, and analysing data to facilitate the development of forward works plans. This position also involves handling service request resolutions and ensuring accurate and efficient operation of various information systems. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement asset information strategies; manage AMIS, GIS, and related systems. Maintain asset data, handle renewal and financial modelling, and respond to information requests. Investigate data anomalies and reconcile real-life assets with AMIS. Assist with developing renewal programs, asset valuation, and reporting for Asset Management and Long-Term Plans. About you This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and analytical problem solver who enjoys having a connection with the data they manage. You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, solid communication skills and demonstrate dedication to fostering a strong customer service philosophy, putting customer and community at the heart of everything you do. In addition, you will need: Experience as an Engineering Technician, or a background in asset management information systems and databases. Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office Package including Word and Excel. Ability to work in a team environment and to work independently when required. Problem solving and negotiation skills, as well as financial management skills and experience.
