Te Runanga o Whaingaroa (TRoW) was established in 1991 to protect resources and deliver services for the whanau of Whangaroa. We focus on delivering Whanau Ora holistic services to all resident whanau and individuals seeking assistance in our rohe. Our main operational arm provides support across social wellbeing, health, education, Transitional Housing and general information/advice services.
As the Asset Lead, you'll support the General Manager of Operations by managing TRoW properties and assets, including offices, housing projects, and subsidiaries. Your key responsibilities include:
Property Maintenance: Regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and addressing issues promptly.
Cleaning Services Coordination: Overseeing cleaning services, supervising Property Caretakers and Cleaners.
Fleet Management: Maintaining fleet records, coordinating vehicle servicing, and ensuring compliance.
Contractor Management: Managing relationships with third-party contractors for efficient operations.
Collaboration and Support: Supporting other departments with coordination tasks and fostering teamwork.
Risk Management and Compliance: Ensuring all asset management accountabilities are met.
Requirements:
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Kaupapa Maori principles and frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with whanau and support their needs.
Strong knowledge of property maintenance, cleaning services, fleet management, and contractor management.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including whanau, community organisations, and service providers.
Experience in managing and coordinating multiple tasks and resources efficiently.
Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritise and oversee property and asset management responsibilities.
