The overriding mission of everyone who works at this organisation is a desire to improve holistic wellbeing and development to all.About The Role - Assets & Facilities ManagerThe Assets and Facilities Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of all commercial and residential assets owned and leased by the organisation. This role includes the development and implementation of long-term repairs and maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, managing projects, and overseeing healthy homes inspections. The role will contribute to the strategic goals of the organisation by ensuring that assets are well-maintained, compliant, and fit for delivering services to whanau.Position detailsMonday-Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (37.5 hours/week)Salary: $95k to $105k depending on experienceRole ResponsibilitiesAsset ManagementOversee the management of all commercial and residential properties owned and leased by the organisation.Develop and implement long-term repair and maintenance plans for all assets.Develop strategies to improve the performance of assets to mitigate risks and promote long term cost efficiencies.Ensure all assets are compliant with relevant regulations and standards.Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure all properties comply with health and safety regulations, building codes, and other relevant legislation.Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.Manage compliance documentation and maintain accurate records.Project ManagementLead and manage property-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise.Healthy Homes AssessmentsOversee and support staff with healthy home assessments to ensure properties meet healthy homes standards.Determine long-term strategies to build awareness around energy usage and healthy homes through practical and external initiatives.Develop and implement support to families that will achieve greater outcomes for healthy homes including energy usage.Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain positive relationships with tenants, contractors, vendors, and community stakeholders.Act as a point of contact for all asset-related inquiries and issues.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the property management team.Foster a positive and cooperative team environment.Ensure staff are trained and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.We are seeking Assets and Facilities Manager who hasMinimum of 5 years of experience in facilities and asset management, preferably within a kaupapa Maori or community-focused organisation.Proven experience in project management, including managing budgets and timelines.Strong knowledge of property compliance and health and safety regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in using property management software and MS Office Suite.Have evidence of being fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19.Have a full drivers licence.Have proof of your right to work in New Zealand (One year minimum).BenefitsWork with a passionate, driven organisation and experienced leadership team.Contribute to urban Maori and Pasifika communities and support the holistic wellbeing of everyone seeking support.Professional development and training opportunities.Observe and practice te ao Maori principles daily.Free parking.KiwiSaver.Supervision and/or mentoring.If you believe you would enjoy working in a kaupapa Maori organisation, possess a strong work ethic, and envision your career pathway in supporting our whanaunga, then this is the perfect role for you!
