What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Vision: Develop and deliver short-term (2-year) and long-term (10-year) investment plans for our overhead network assets.
Innovative Leadership: Collaborate across teams to drive projects from concept to completion, ensuring customer, operational, and planning needs are met.
Future-Proofing: Ensure network resilience through proactive planning for climate change impacts.
Data-Driven Insights: Assess asset health and performance, using advanced tools to model risks and guide investment decisions.
Standards Development: Lead reviews of equipment standards, investigate failures, and contribute to the adoption of new technologies and materials.
Why You're Perfect for This Role
Qualifications: You hold a BE or NZCE qualification (or equivalent) or bring at least 12 years of experience in electrical distribution systems, particularly in overhead line design, maintenance, or construction.
Expertise:
Deep knowledge of overhead line design, equipment, and materials.
A solid understanding of asset lifecycles, risks, and health modelling.
Skills:
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
