Asset Engineer

Details of the offer

Located in the heart of beautiful Wairarapa, the Carterton District is growing rapidly! This means we have a lot on our plate - an ambitious capital works programme, development of significant infrastructure, and the delivery of major transformation in our water networks.
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, forward-thinker who is up for the challenge of working in this exciting period of growth. As part of a small team, you'll enjoy the opportunity to be involved across the whole range of asset planning and development, so you'll need to be an adept juggler who enjoys a wide variety of work.
You will have significant experience in the development of infrastructure engineering and development, particularly water, wastewater and storm water, including subdivision/land use consent processing. You will also have proven experience in managing and coordinating asset management systems and processes, and advanced computer skills, including database management and GIS mapping.
A relevant tertiary qualification or certification in asset management, or a related experience or discipline is preferred, with a minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience.
As well as offering a lower cost of living in Wairarapa, our people enjoy a great team environment with additional benefits such as flexible working arrangements, 5 weeks annual leave, Kiwisaver contributions of up to 6%, and professional development opportunities.
If you have any queries or would like to discuss the position, please contact Johannes Ferreira on 06 379 4030 / ******.
If you already know this is the role for you, please send your covering letter and C.V. to ******.
Applications close at 4.00pm on Tuesday 17th Sept 2024.
Please Note: Due to the highly competitive employment market, our vacancy close date may be subject to change if a suitable candidate is found, so don't delay in making your application.
