About the role Our Master of Software Engineering course is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in the Software Engineering Industry, preparing them for a successful career in the technology sector.
We are seeking knowledgeable and experienced Master of Software Engineering Assessors to join our team on a casual contract basis. The Assessor will be responsible for marking and evaluating students' assessments, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that grading is fair, accurate, and consistent with our academic standards.
This will be a fully remote role within New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Review and assess student submissions for the Master of Software Engineering Programme.Provide timely, constructive, and detailed feedback on assessments.Ensure all assessments are graded in accordance with the course's learning outcomes and grading criteria.Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades in the Student Management System.Communicate with the academic team regarding student performance and any potential issues.Stay updated with the course material and assessment guidelines.About you Hold a relevant qualification i.e., from a Master of Software Engineering Programme.Experience in assessing or teaching in a tertiary education setting is preferred.Strong subject matter knowledge in any or all of the following: Professional Software Engineering, Quantum Computing, Data Analytics, Cloud Security, Blockchain and decentralised digital identity, Intelligent Transportation Systems.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to provide constructive feedback in a clear and professional manner.Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital assessment tools.Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.Flexible and able to manage time effectively to meet assessment deadlines.Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.A passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.Who are we?
