We have a couple of full-time (40 hours each week) fixed term positions ending in December 2025. Please note if you are available part time hours/days please discuss this during the interview. Our hiring team is flexible and might be able to accommodate the requested hours/days.
The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in New Zealand. However, you also have the option to work from either our Highbrook, Auckland or centrally located Wellington offices.

Responsibilities as an Assessor:
As an Assessor, you will evaluate the practical skills and knowledge of trainees within the Plumbing, Gasfitting & Drainlaying industry. You will be responsible for assessing evidence against unit standards, providing constructive feedback, and supporting trainees in their journey towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluation for Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Drainlaying programmes.
Provide online training sessions and support with exam preparation to apprentices and feedback, guidance to trainees and learners.
Provide technical advice, support, and feedback to the Instructional Design team as required.
Ensure assessments are conducted fairly, consistently, and in line with EarnLearn's standards.
Stay updated with industry practices, technological advancements, and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
Hold unit standard 4098 Use standards to assess candidate performance.
Hold a current PGD Board certifying license for Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Drainlaying.
Relevant and current technical knowledge and experience.
An understanding of the NZQA framework and experience in standard based assessment.
Sufficient digital literacy to be able to navigate and utilize various platforms and software packages.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in both written and oral English.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor trainees.
Commitment to maintaining high standards in workplace assessment.
