We have an exciting opportunity to join our team on a casual basis, in our custom-designed Nurse Maude Simulation & Assessment Centre, for internationally qualified nurses who apply to register in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Te Whakahaerenga/ The Organisation
Nurse Maude is a well-known and highly regarded organisation, who have been providing healthcare services to the community for over 120 years. We have recently been contracted by the New Zealand Nursing Council to administer Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), as part of the registration process for internationally qualified nurses.

Te Mahi/About the Position
The Assessment Support plays a vital role in the regulatory examination process.
Working casually, a typical shift may see you achieve the following:
Role play - closely follow the script provided for a specific character in a scenario-based assessment; this may be a patient, by-stander, health professional or similar.
Providing a realistic clinical simulated experience for candidates.
Supporting examiners and technicians to ensure the OSCE station is consistently set up, as outlined in the scenario instructions, for examinations.
Supporting the team with administrative tasks to ensure a smooth operation.
Successful applicants will also be required to read and familiarise themselves with a given script in the days ahead of their shift; attend training and calibration sessions, as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:
An interest, or experience in role-play.
A good memory and ability to follow a script closely at all times.
The ability to take guidance and feedback from technicians and examiners.
The ability to work flexibly in a team and manage professional relationships effectively.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Integrity - understanding the confidential nature of the regulatory assessment process.
Proven reliability and good communication skills.
A proven ability to adhere to protocols, standards and guidelines.
