Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Assembly Floor Manager – FE Group – Hawkes Bay FE Group is a successful outdoor cooking and solid fuel heating retail company specialising in the sale of quality BBQs, outdoor leisure equipment and solid fuel heating to food and entertaining enthusiasts both in the domestic and hospitality sectors in Hawkes Bay and the wider New Zealand through its online stores, and we are the home of Pyro Fires.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has exceptional attention to detail, a strong ability to prioritise and organize and can work independently as well as part of a team.
As the Assembly Floor Manager , you will be responsible for manufacturing, procurement, warehousing and inventory management for our operation based in Hastings. The role will focus on assembling our fires and preparing stock for collection by our freight operators daily, whilst also performing warehouse management and related administrative tasks.
The role is a permanent position based in Hawkes Bay working 40 hours Monday through Friday.
An extensive handover will be given to the successful applicant.
The key duties include: Supervision of the day-to-day running of the factory and warehouse for maximum efficiency. Conducting Quality Control at the assembly completion stage of all fires. Management and movement of completed orders including processing all pick and pack orders on time for dispatch into freight system. Administrative tasks, receipting inwards goods paperwork ensuring stock accuracy is maintained at all times, complete payroll timesheets for processing, process purchase orders for suppliers and file paperwork as required. Liaising with all suppliers on timelines for delivery. Assisting with negotiation of component costs and freight rates. Management of devanning imported containers as an MPI accredited person. (Training to be provided) as required. To be successful in this role you will need: Be tidy and well presented. Be physically capable of handling heavy products. A good understanding of efficient manufacturing processes. Have a friendly approachable disposition to suppliers, customers and staff. Have an excellent command of the English language and be well spoken. Have excellent time management and organisational skills. Be a person who ensures their work is accurate. A Forklift license is preferable, but training will be given as forklift duties are a requirement of the role.
