We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Department Manager to lead our team in Tauranga. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of asphalt paving projects, ensuring we meet our client's needs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Create, manage, and deliver annual financial budgets for the asphalt department.Pricing and tendering of work within department managers' delegated levels of authority.Assist divisional manager with preparation of larger tenders, quotes, and estimates for the asphalt department.Be aware of and oversee contractual procedures for managing changes to scope of work for direct work and sub-contractor agreements.Work closely with internal and external customers to deliver complex programs and ensure all contracts meet their respective due dates for completion.Ensure forward planning, organizing, and ordering of contract subbies, survey, materials, plant, and people.Supervise and mentor a team of asphalt workers, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and other key stakeholders.Provide technical advice and support to direct reports and peers.Good Work Equals Good Benefits:Company vehicle provided in this position.Medical insurance for you and your whanau.Life insurance from day one.KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.Fuel discount card.Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support.Family scholarships.Ongoing training and development, career growth, and progression opportunities.Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.
