Ashburton Vets - Dairy Veterinarian – AshburtonWe are a friendly locally owned clinic looking for a fifth veterinarian to join our team.
This position is a full-time dairy role but could include some mixed work.
Experienced veterinarians and graduates with an interest in dairy are encouraged to apply.
You will require a good attitude, sense of humour, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
We are an Immigration Accredited Employer and have experience with visa applications.
We are well established in the local community: The practice has a strong client base of owner-operator farmers.
We perform routine and emergency work, plus plenty of surgery.
The clinic also offers whole farm preventive programs, Accredited Mastitis investigations, Body Condition Scoring, Nutritional advisory services, In-Calf programs, and benchmarking farm performance.
We offer a competitive salary package with above-award rates.
A 4x4 vehicle, smart-phone, and all necessary veterinary equipment will be provided.
Our experienced veterinary team has good support structures in place for younger veterinarians, including assistance with applications for additional MPI bonding scheme grants for graduates.
This role is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts, with ski-fields close by, as well as tramping, biking, and fishing all on our doorstep.
The large thriving township has all the amenities, is within one hour of Christchurch, and is centrally located for exploring the New Zealand South Island.
