Powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence software, OmniEye uses a non-intrusive on-farm camera and monitoring system to collect tens of thousands of data points from every cow, every day to provide farmers with a clearer picture of the overall health of their herd. Our first product – OmniEye Locomotion – allows for early detection of lameness and drafting of animals, resulting in greater productivity, reproductive performance and less animal suffering, and interventions. It is currently on more than 40 dairy farms around New Zealand and looking to grow! We're looking for two South Island Area Sales Managers to grow sales of our Locomotion system and our upcoming Body Condition Scoring system. You will be a driven hunter for sales with a strong track record in achieving your goals who will help lead our further South Island expansion. As the Area Sales manager you will have a passion for animal welfare and helping dairy farmers to drive efficiencies on farm using our technology to keep them farming into the future. Day to day you'll be responsible for generating sales – including identifying potential customers and showcasing the value of our exciting new technology for their business. You'll have sales experience, a customer-focused and authentic sales approach, along with experience in either animal health, technology and/or the agriculture industry.  We are looking for positive, energetic self-starters, with a willingness to go the extra mile, who will be confident working independently and committed to our company's vision of bringing OmniEye's technology to dairy farms across New Zealand. Position title : Area Sales Manager Job purpose : Generating new Sales leads and closing sales, customer visits and training, installation assistance, and follow-up support to customers. Role : This is a fulltime, salaried position. Location : Ideally you will be located in Christchurch, Ashburton or the wider Canterbury region, however we are willing to accept applications from other areas of the South Island including applicants based in Otago and Southland. This role will require at times require travel throughout the country and visits to Christchurch Office. Reports to : OmniEye Chief Sales Officer. Liaises with : OmniEye Prospects and customers, OmniEye staff, Dairy sector industry bodies, Strategic Partners and Rural professionals. Salary range : Base salary + high rewards commission + ESOP + Ute. Position overview : OmniEye Locomotion is a non-intrusive camera-based locomotion scoring system for dairy cows, being developed by OmniEye Limited, a New Zealand company developing technology products for New Zealand farmers, using cutting edge artificial intelligence techniques. The Area Sales Manager position has prime responsibility for generating sales and a positive experience for customers and is critical to the success and growth of the business. Responsibilities and deliverables : Sales: Understanding the potential customers drivers and problems. Work with these customers to clearly communicate functionality and added value benefits of our system, while working through stages of the sales process and ensuring the product and shed prerequisites are met. Prospecting: Building and grow a pipeline of dairy farms for OmniEye and visiting potential customers while continually improving sales cycle times for OmniEye products and services. Providing product information, quotes, contracts and payment details to customers. Managing newly source leads through the initial stages of the pipeline to closed sales. Cross-functional collaboration: Work intimately with technology and customer support teams to ensure exceptional results for our customers. Providing feedback to the company's engineers of suggestions and issues coming from users of the company products  Networking: Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and maintain OmniEye's brand to help with lead generation. Positively representing the company in any interactions with the public. Attending tradeshows and other events to present and promote the OmniEye products and systems. Growth initiatives: Working with the Chief Sales Officer to optimise the sales process to be more efficient as the company grows. Contributing to development of the company's marketing and selling strategies and developing sales ideas to attract more customers. Customer Management: Maintaining contact with existing customers and ensuring timely follow ups, answering customers enquiries and arranging servicing through to additional sales. Operations: Assisting with installation and maintenance of the OmniEye on-farm hardware. Weekly Sales meetings. Regular updates to management and the wider team as required.  Updating the company CRM system in a timely manner, including capturing and recording all interactions with customers and prospects, including but not limited to appointments, calls and farm events o recording detailed deal information. Prioritisation and timely follow-up of all sales leads and customer queries.  Preparing and presenting quotes and purchase agreements to customers. Meeting company and individual sales targets. Assisting with and contributing to the company's social media profile. Required skills and competence: Freedom to travel throughout the South Island if required. Written and oral communication skills, sufficient to be able to communicate clearly and effectively OmniEye's value proposition.  Computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel), and email and ability to follow user manuals for on-farm hardware.  Sufficient understanding of the dairy industry and or farm animal health to be able to interact effectively with customers and sales leads.  Business acumen and numeracy skills to be able to make practical decisions to successfully promote OmniEye's sales goals. Experience: Motivated and proven ability to work independently to drive sales within Canterbury and the wider South Island if required.  A passion for Agriculture, helping dairy farmers improve and animal welfare. Prior agriculture sales experience generating and closing sales leads. Academic qualification is preferred but not necessary.
