Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence?
We are seeking an experienced  Area Manager | Operations Manager  to oversee 20+ sites and manage a team of approx.
50 staff.
This critical role will ensure the smooth day-to-day operations, maintain high service standards, and drive continuous improvements.

What We're Looking For Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
With the ability to engage with corporate clients, site managers and cleaning staff effectively and respectfully.
Well organized with exceptional coordination and time-management skills.
Proven experience in operational and staff management, ideally in a multi-site or service-oriented environment.
A commercial cleaning or facilities management background in an Area Management or Operational Management role would be highly beneficial.
Or a large team Site Manager ready to move up.
Strong leadership skills with experience in training, compliance, and performance management.
A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to operational excellence.
IT system savvy.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Oversee daily business operations, supporting senior management and administration teams.
Manage resources (people, equipment and supplies) efficiently within budget.
Ensure compliance with all operational systems and processes.
Staff Management: Provide staff training on H&S and all workplace-specific protocols.
Supervise Site Managers and ensure all sites meet operational expectations, budgets, and deadlines.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with time management systems and other safety programs.
Client Liaison & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Ensure personalized, cost-effective services and manage client expectations.
Provide service quotes, resolving issues proactively and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
This role requires South Island travel.
Ideally you are based in  Central Otago (or Christchurch) and you will be traveling every 2nd week (approx.
5 nights away per fortnight).
It is important you are able and enjoy travel with your role.
