OneStaff is on the lookout for an experienced and driven Area Manager to run the highly successful Christchurch branch. OneStaff is a nationwide, 100% New Zealand owned, industry leading blue collar recruitment agency. We specialise in providing both recruitment and labour hire services to the industrial sector. After 27 years of operations the future is looking brighter than ever and we're searching for a leader with exceptional talent to work with the regional team and key business stakeholders across the Canterbury region. With a B2B sales driven industry, this leadership role is critical to Onestaff building and maintaining a strong culture, with the delivery of exceptional service. The successful applicant will need to be driven and motivated for growth, they should be well-connected in Christchurch with customer service excellence and a strong focus on people management to build and lead a high-performing effective team. The core duties of the role involve: Team Management: Managing the established Christchurch team to drive performance through a positive and productive culture, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement. Sales: Identify and follow up new business opportunities to grow Onestaff's presence in the Canterbury region. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Networking: Leverage existing connections and build new relationships within Christchurch and the broader Canterbury region to support business development and operational success. Branch Management: With support from the SMT, running all aspects of the local business including financials, marketing, staff training and compliance to the companywide standard. Recruitment: Sourcing personnel for a large variety of local businesses. This involves running a full recruitment cycle to source and select the best employees for many external vacancies. Labour hire: Managing and growing a large workforce of employees on temporary assignments across a variety of Canterbury businesses. To be considered for this role you will need to show: Proven history in business or sales management. Strong leadership and people management skills. 3-5 years' experience in leading managing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A broad understanding of the financial drivers of business. Experience and commitment to maintaining and establishing relationships with multiple stakeholders. The remuneration on offer is comprised of: An attractive salary to be negotiated in line with your experience (paid monthly). A bonus structure based on branch Net Profit. This is a Monday to Friday role from 8am – 5pm however some overtime is an expected part of this position as and when client needs dictate.
