As an Archivist with our Council, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the way we manage and preserve our archives and records.

In this role, you'll: Oversee the organisation, appraisal, storage, and access to non-current and archival records.Develop and implement record-keeping systems that meet legal and privacy standards.Advise leadership on best practices for archiving and records management.Conduct regular audits, improve processes, and ensure adherence to legislative requirements.Train staff on effective records management practices and champion internal system improvements.Undertake basic conservation and preservation procedures to ensure the longevity of materials.Maintain the security of archives and oversee disaster management planning for archival resources.We're seeking a skilled professional who can bring: At least five years' experience in records and archival systems, ideally in a regulated environment.A strong knowledge of archival principles, relevant legislation, and records management practices.Proven ability to organize, evaluate, and catalog complex information with precision and efficiency.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.A tertiary degree in information management and a commitment to ongoing professional development.A meticulous eye for detail, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Who You Are:
