Job Description:We are a family-owned and operated business based in North Canterbury. We are looking for a skilled architectural engineering draftsman to join our team. Working alongside our senior detailer, you will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models specializing in architectural metalwork items using Tekla software or software of choice to generate production drawings.Key Responsibilities:Create 3D models – content varies from staircases and doors to steel beams and balustradesGenerate and edit detailed drawings in a timely manner in line with current workloadsPrepare drawings to include plans, elevations, sections, and detailsReview documents to identify any conflicts or missing detailsAttend site and complete initial measures with contracts manager on specialist projects to then input and model upon returnCommunicate with the team regarding timelines and ensure accurate information is relayed to the relevant personnelAssist on specialist projects as workload dictatesSkills and Qualifications:Proficient in Tekla or similar 3D BIM softwareExperience in generating and editing detailed drawings of architectural metalwork items such as staircases and specialist projectsStrong understanding of structural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details along with building code requirementsKnowledge of steel hardware, fixings, members, and products in the steel industryStrong attention to detailUnderstands project budgets and timeframes – ability to organize own workload to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and coordination skillsProactive problem-solving approach and a commitment to meeting customer needsIf you're looking for a change and want to join an elite architectural engineering company, then send in your CV and cover letter today to ******.#J-18808-Ljbffr
