We are now on the hunt for full-time, fixed-term Aquatics Supervisor to join the team at Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool. The dates of the Fixed Term are from 4th June 2024 - 31st January 2025. 
In this position of responsibility, you will showcase your established leadership skills and knowledge of pool operations. You will support the Aquatics Team Leader by leading a team of lifeguards and ensuring standards such as operating procedures, Poolsafe, water quality, pool supervision, and cleanliness. You will be an influential leader supporting the team to ensure the facility is running to standard while also going above and beyond for our customers. 
About you: You are a rich source of information and have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.You will have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.You are someone with serious potential to inspire, motivate, and develop staff, empowering them to make day to day decisions to help influence the positive direction of the aquatics team. Key parts of the process: Candidates who are short-listed will be contacted regarding completing a Christchurch City Council Swim Test. Once you submit your application online you will be invited to attend a swim test between29/04/24-10/05/24.Attached to the position description is a copy of the swim test requirements. To progress to the next stage, you must pass the swim test. Our friendly team will give you tips for your test, so come and give it a go! Swim tests will be held at Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool. Interviews for candidates who are shortlisted will be conducted on Tuesday 14th May & Wednesday 15th May 2024. If you are successful at the interview, you will be notified and required to undertake2 full days of Lifeguard training and one day for assessment. If you already hold a PLPC you will not need to attend the Lifeguard assessment day. If you progress to the training and assessment stage anddo not hold a current comprehensive first-aid certificate (unit standards 6400, 6401, 6402) or higher, then you will need to have thisbooked and completed by 4th June 2024. 
Additional Information: Salary: $27.28 - $30.31 per hour.Hours: Fixed-term, full time. Monday-Friday. Location: This position is based at Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool, 141 Smith Street. What's in it for you?
