We are looking for one fixed term Process Worker to join our Wellington based Wild Abalone team. The focus of this role is to provide support to the live paua production team during a peak period of work. It is an exciting time to be joining the team as we move into a new state of the art aquaculture and fisheries hub in Porirua.
Key Tasks: Processing of paua; receipting, grading, packing and operational cleaning and compliance duties.
General labouring and quality control.
Inventory monitoring.
This is a team-based role, so you need to enjoy working with others, supporting your colleagues and ensuring together targets are met, you keep each other safe and are delivering to a high standard.

It requires every one of our people to be committed to achieving this high standard, adhering to all health & safety requirements and aligning behaviour, performance and engagement to our values and code of conduct.
What You Will Bring: As a team player with a strong work ethic, you will be hard working and physically fit. Honest and reliable, you will enjoy learning new skills, working with good people and following processes. You will have completed NCEA, and ideally be working towards an aquaculture, fisheries or equivalent tertiary qualification and looking to gain practical experience in the industry. You will receive training, but it would be advantageous to have experience working in an operational environment, and/or seafood processing or similar.
You must be eligible to work in NZ and be a reliable and efficient worker. Fit and healthy, you will need to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test and be willing to commit to the full length of the assignment.
