Apprentice Trainer (Heavy Fabrication) Whangarei

Culham Engineering are looking for an Apprentice Trainer to oversee the training for all apprentices.
The Apprentice Trainer will be responsible for coaching and assessing all apprentices within Culham Engineering and supporting them throughout their apprenticeship.
Responsibilities Include Developing an inspiring and motivated environment, with a 100% achievement rate for all apprentices.
Working with Competenz to review, provide feedback on assessments, progress and score assessments in a timely manner.
Providing mentoring and guidance throughout a learner's apprenticeship to achieve their goals.
Developing goal-oriented strategies to ensure transparent learning development and outcomes.
Monitoring and maintaining progress records and submitting reports to the Workshops Manager on a fortnightly basis.
Establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all learners in all locations, Competenz, and with Workshop Management/supervision in the delivery of the apprenticeship.
What will you bring to the role Level 4 Trade Certificate in Boilermaking/Fabrication and Welding.
Workplace Assessor Unit Standard 4098 would be an advantage.
Broad knowledge of the heavy structural fabrication industry.
Highly developed communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to mentor and guide students.
Ability to deliver presentations, educate learners and provide relevant training.
Excellent time and people management skills.
Ability to problem solve.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously.

Our fabrication facility in Whangarei is one of New Zealand's largest. We also have our own in-house blasting and painting facility, heavy haulage, and craneage.
