About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and adventurous pipe fitter apprentice to join our maintenance team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This unique opportunity involves working in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth, assisting in maintaining and repairing piping infrastructure under the supervision of experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly under supervision. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other team members to support station operations. Requirements: Enroled in or completed a National Certificate in Pipe Fitting (Apprentice Registration). Open work rights in New Zealand. Ability to pass medical, dental, and background checks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work in extreme conditions and adapt to a unique living environment. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate.
