Cummins Technician Apprenticeship Heavy Automotive Engineering, Road Transport
· Upon entry to the program, possess or commence a Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3).
· Undertake a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4) Road Transport to become a fully qualified Cummins Technician.
· Gain practical experience and earn while you learn with a global leader in engine technology.

Working under the supervision of a qualified Cummins Technician, you will learn everything that comes with the diagnosis and repair of Cummins engines and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical starter toolkit provided upon commencement.
Obtain a Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Road Transport.
Complete off-the-job training with our partner training organization.
Receive structured on-the-job training, under the supervision of the qualified technicians and supervisors in your workshop.
Gain your experience working on a range of our world class Cummins engine products.
Improve your technical expertise by completing a range of engine product training with Cummins Technical Trainers as you progress through your apprenticeship.
QUALIFICATIONS
Cummins are looking for applicants with the following attributes:
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
A passion for working on our products and in the industry.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Excellent level of language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
A willingness to work across regional areas and rotate through different departments to gain experience on automotive, industrial, marine, and mining engine products as you progress through your apprenticeship.
Right to work in New Zealand.
Preference to have completed year 12 or equivalent.
A strong focus on safety and wellbeing that will lead to a successful career at Cummins.
Willingness to embrace diversity and make Cummins a great place to work.
