We're looking to expand our Aquaculture Breeding Services; as a result, we are seeking applications from experienced applied geneticists to grow our capability and build our client base. The geneticist will work with commercial clients to help design, implement and manage their breeding programmes. This includes breeding programme design, genetic evaluation, selection index development, genetic gain estimation & cost-benefit analysis. The geneticist will also provide quantitative genetics and genomics support to the wider Aquaculture Group. RequirementsSuitable candidates will have a PhD or equivalent in quantitative genetics as well as experience in the application of genomics/bioinformatics tools. You will have prior experience with breeding programmes in a commercial setting. Experience in aquaculture is an advantage but not essential.
