The opportunity awaits… Our information services team is looking for an application support guru to ensure the usability and reliability of our core business applications.
In this role, you will deliver 2nd and 3rd level support and administration for essential business applications, with a strong emphasis on security and systems administration.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders within the council and be responsible for maintaining the integrity and currency of our applications through effective release management practices.
Additionally, you will conduct root cause analysis on issues, identify appropriate escalation points, and manage issues and requests through to resolution.
In addition to providing support, this position will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the organisation's Enterprise System, which includes Financial, Human Capital, and Asset Management modules, as well as other core Council systems.
Therefore, a strong understanding of systems integration and data management in a hybrid cloud environment is essential.
The role also requires the ability to collaborate effectively with key service providers.
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for someone who can bring the following to our diverse talent pool: A degree or tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Application Support Analyst or in a similar role.
Experience in SQL for querying, reporting and managing databases (desirable).
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services.
Knowledge of Release Management methodologies.
Strong knowledge of applications, role-based security, and understanding of security and identity management and associated policies.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
