Application Software Engineers X 2 - Fixed Term

Our client has an immediate requirement for a seasoned professional Software Developer with 3+ years commercial experience to join their enterprise government entity in Wellington on a 24 month fixed term employment assignment. Your role will involve working with the development team and developing APIs and interfaces to complement their existing Enterprise System Business Applications.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skillsets and experience:

3+ years Commercial Experience development software solutions for the commercial market

Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Significant experience in building REST APIs using tools like GitHub, Azure API Manager, cloud functions, and building integration pipelines

Basic competence in GitHub, Azure APIM, Windows, and Microsoft products

Some technical skills such as test automation desirable but not necessary

Proven expertise in building development pipelines using continuous integration and automation technologies like GitHub and Terraform

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for APIs created in Azure APIM with assistance of testers

Validate API functionality, performance, and security

Experience working in Agile frameworks using ADO

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
