The role: This is a permanent part-time role for an experienced and creative Apparel Designer who will lead the design and development of our Crywolf collections.

We are a fun creative team, designing high quality and fashion leading leather shoes and outerwear in the children's sector supplying to local and international markets through our wholesale channels and direct to consumer.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of Crywolf products across all categories, including rainwear, swimwear, clothing and accessoriesSeek and analyse post season feedback and sales results to strategically design for new seasons Research and identify market trends and trend forecastingResearch and track competitor brands and productsInitiate team meetings throughout the design processCreate themes for seasonal collections Develop Range Plan for new seasonsPrint development Create accurate high quality drawings and technical specifications for factoriesResponsible for strike offs, lab dips, SMS, PPS approval Collaborate with Production in sample development and production, to ensure the designs are executed to a high standard, according to specifications and within timelines Manage new product development, including industry research, liaising with factories and sampling processProactive in design process improvement by work collaboratively with other staff Responsible for managing internal Quality Assurance, including defining optimum wash cycle, fabric shrinkage, colour fastness, fabric performanceCollaborate with Production to define what external QC tests to initiateOversee the fit, performance and quality of all productsResponsible for creating accurate care label / wash instructions Swing tag, label and packaging design, ensuring consistency across factories and of a high standardUnderstand margins and pricing to ensure products are viable and profitableCollaborate with marketing department to ensure vision is realized, including the products represented accurately and key features communicated Responsible for size guides and product descriptionsPush boundaries with product design and development, with a focus on new materials and sustainability Skills & experience: Highly creative by natureSound understanding of the design, development and production process4+ years experience in the garment industryTechnical knowledge of fit, construction and functionalityExperienced with textilesHighly organized and motivatedEye for detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to collaborate with teamHave a passion and understanding of the Crywolf aesthetic In-depth experience with Adobe Suite - PS, AI, ID and MS ExcelMust have NZ residency and be proficient in English Why you will love this role: Working in a fast-environment within a highly creative teamUsing your creativity and experience to lead exceptional Crywolf product designTaking pride in shared values of sustainability and performanceGreat staff discountsGreat location with on-site parking and within walking distance of Park & Ride station How to apply: Please apply through Seek with a personalised cover letter outlining why you would be great for this position, as well as your CV and examples of your design work.
