Animal Compliance Officer - Central Team

He angitutanga: The opportunityYou will work within the Dog Control Act 1996 and Council policies and procedures to respond to public complaints about dog and stock control; customer requests for services including managing aggressive and/or barking dogs, dog attacks, wandering dogs, stock issues; and providing requirements for proactive patrolling and assistance with prosecutions.
You will work in the community, often flying solo, tackling tasks with the support of a large team. You will also assist in prosecutions and intelligence-led proactive patrols. This role is a variable 24/7 morning and evening roster with on-call work, and covers Central Auckland. Office is based in Manukau.

This role suits individuals with public-facing compliance backgrounds, who demonstrate strong customer service and conflict management skills, a calm approach to resolving situations, and dealing with aggressive dogs and other animals. A current, full clean NZ driver's licence is required.

Salary range of this role is between $75,500-$77,500 (depending on experience) plus shift and on-call allowances.
