Taranaki, New ZealandPermanent Part-time/Full-timeAwanui Group is seeking either a part-time or a full-time pathologist for our Taranaki Laboratory's (Previously Taranaki Pathology Services) Anatomical Pathology Department.Awanui Labs - Taranaki is part of the Awanui Group (previously known as Asia Pacific Healthcare Group), the largest provider of Pathology services in New Zealand and have laboratories throughout the country. We have provided pathology services to doctors and patients in New Zealand since 1960.Our Taranaki laboratory provides both public hospital and community anatomic pathology services, serving a population of approximately 125,000. The Anatomical Pathology department processes over 14,000 surgical and 1000 Cytology cases each year.We are seeking an experienced Anatomic Pathologist to be either a part-time or a full-time pathologist in our group. Competency in cut up and diagnosis of a broad range of tissue types is essential. Special interest in dermatopathology and/or gastrointestinal pathology is desirable. Active participation in Multi-Disciplinary Meetings is an expectation of this role.You will need to hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or a similar recognised postgraduate qualification; and be eligible for vocational registration as a Specialist Pathologist by the Medical Council of New Zealand.Living in New Zealand provides an exceptional way of life.
