As an Analytics and Insights Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving a new era of data-driven decision making at our company. You will lead a team in implementing the Data and Analytics strategy, delivering timely and impactful insights that delight the business and inform key decisions.You will also be responsible for developing and implementing best practices and governance to ensure the accuracy, availability, and cost-effectiveness of our analytics and insights.This is a dynamic role that requires both strong technical and people leadership skills, a passion for staying on top of the latest technology and industry developments, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesMentor and manage team to support development / high performing teamDevelop data literacy and skills across the business, particularly across PowerBISupport a high-performance team culture, which drives the engagement of all team members to achieve business, personal and professional development objectives.CollaborateCollaborate across disciplines and apply knowledge in areas of expertise other than one's own. Actively coach and share knowledge and expertise with others.Experience/Technical/Professional QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years of professional work experience in analytics and insights, including data science5+ years of experience with Python or Scala developmentFamiliarity with recognized and relevant technology industry qualificationsSolid experience as a member of agile teams collaborating with other engineers, product managers, UX professionals, architects, and other stakeholdersStrong programming experience (including Python, script automation, and database languages)Knowledge, Skills, and AttributesSound problem-solving skillsAble to assess priorities and self-manageHas a 'can-do' approach and attitudeEnthusiastic about technology and driven to achieving solutions and resolving problems at a paceGood appreciation of the need to follow established processes but willing to challenge them for valid reasons and better optionsExperience in SnowflakeScripting skills - advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with databases, query authoring and working knowledge of a variety of databases, e.g., SQL Server, Redshift, PostgreSQL5+ years of experience with SQLExperience using project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.Troubleshooting skills, ability to determine impacts, resolve complex issues, and exercise sound judgment and initiative in stressful situationsThis role is for internal applicants only; no external applicants will be considered at this stage.Reference #: 35897Posted on: 22 Oct 2024Closes on: 05 Nov 2024 09:00Location(s): NewmarketExpertise: Information Systems & Communication Technology
