' Nga kawenga | About the role We have the opportunity for a person with analytical skills to join the National Workforce Planning team, based in Wellington.
Reporting to the Principal Adviser, your role as an Analyst will be to support prison sites by responding to their workforce planning needs and providing ongoing enhancements to site rosters.
Every custodial site is unique therefore while our processes remain the same, the data set changes.
This is where your advanced Excel skills and attention to detail are required.
Along with those skills, you will be a quick learner, with the ability to pick up new systems and processes, whilst working amongst a supportive and uplifting team.
Mo te tema | About the Team We are seeking a dynamic individual to join us.
As part of the team, you will support our frontline Custodial Services group with the maintenance and development of site roster patterns within funded levels, including the accurate entry of patterns into the Department's workforce management roster technology - Kronos.

Microsoft Excel with demonstrated competency in formulasA passion for numbers with analytical and data analysis skillsGreat attention to detailExperience in roster development (ideal but not essential)Good communication skills – verbal and writtenAn ability to learn new systemsAn ability to work methodically through processes in a logical mannerAn ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentThe midpoint of the salary range is $87,132 and the full range (85%-120%) is $74,063 to $104,559.
Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
