The Green Bond Team sits within New Zealand Debt Management, the part of the New Zealand Treasury responsible for managing the Government's debt and overall cash flows.
Korero mo te turanga | About the Role
This role in the Green Bond Team supplies critical support to the operation of the New Zealand Sovereign Green Bond Programme. The Programme was established in 2022 and in 2024 we will produce our first public impact report while continuing to build and maintain the Programme. This is a dynamic space where we are all still learning as international best practice evolves.
Key responsibilities include:
Lots of collaboration across the public sector - to gather and share information and provide technical support and advice
Building and maintaining spreadsheets and extracting reporting from them
Gap analysis: what metrics and indicators can agencies provide v. what are international investor expectations
Research and advice on the use of environmental metrics, especially in financial decision-making
Assessing which government expenditures are suitable for the Programme.
This is a fixed term position until December 2025. Appointing remuneration for this role will be between $90,041 and $105,930 per annum, based on skills and experience.
