The Role: As an Analyst in the Equity Research team, you will play a pivotal role in producing economic, industry, and company research to support institutional and retail investors. You will contribute to researching stocks, gaining exposure to equities, and developing a deep understanding of the New Zealand and Australian stock markets.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in generating research and analysis on a portfolio of companies, including macroeconomic and industry outlooks.Interpret news, market announcements, regulatory filings, and various economic and statistical data sets.Develop financial models to underpin reports and recommendations.Analyse key industry and company-specific revenue/earnings drivers.Support client and internal requests related to listed companies and industries.Manage databases utilizing internal and third-party data sources.About You: The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, exceptional numeracy skills, and the ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment. You should have a strong understanding of financial services and market terminology, coupled with proficiency in Excel and financial modelling. Excellent attention to detail, report writing skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly are essential.
