Job Description
Our Macraes Continuous Improvement (CI) department are on the hunt for an experienced Analyst to join their team. Whether you're new to mining, or keen to extend your previous experience, this role could be for you!
This Analyst position is responsible for developing and maintaining Macraes-site CI business models and ensuring consistent application of our CI Framework to the identification, development, and execution of improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role will identify and report the KPIs linked to improvement initiatives and manage all CI reporting functions as required.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and update the Value Driver Tree (VDT) models used across the mine site in the identification of value chain constraints and the subsequent tracking of value creation.
Conduct sensitivity analysis and identify pools of potential value, which feed into the Top-Down Improvement Pipeline Targets process.
Conduct the detailed valuation of the identified initiatives with the principles outlined in the CI Framework.
Ensure each CI initiative has an agreed schedule, budget, and a defined outcome with related measures of success.
Be a key contact for the local CI and site team for questions related to the CI tool (WiredUp/PipWare) and actively work with the Principal CI to improve the tool.
Update VDTs and KPIs periodically (weekly/monthly) and ensure accuracy and alignment to trusted data sources
Conduct reviews monthly with the senior management team and quarterly with the wider site leadership team.
Qualifications
Tertiary Business/Finance/Accounting/Engineering qualification, or equivalent, at degree level (required)
Formal training or qualifications in Continuous Improvement (preferred)
Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
Experience:
3 – 5 years of Finance experience in an operational context (preferred)
3 – 5 years of Metals or Mining Experience (preferred)
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of project management, including cost control, safety performance, fostering of professional relationships, and schedule reporting and delivery.
