You will join a team of seven experienced and supportive SMO colleagues. You will be working within a secondary care setting participating in the anaesthetic roster, covering: planned care and acute theatre sessions, anaesthesia after-hours on-call support, anaesthetic pre-assessment clinics, and working as the duty anaesthetist. In this role you will provide support to other departments including: obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and Dental. SECA | ASMS.In addition to your salary, you will:Receive an annual allowance covering your continued medical education expenses (including associated travel and accommodation costs) as well as paid time off to attend events including international conferences.Have access to an employer matched Superannuation contribution of up to 6% of annual earnings.The successful candidates will:Deliver quality services to improve the health of the population in the Marlborough region.Participate in the 1:8 Anaesthetics on-call after hours roster to support other departments including: emergency department, medical, obstetrics (including epidurals), and paediatric patients requiring anaesthetic support.Undertake daytime acute and elective theatres, pre-anaesthetic check clinics, duty, and acute anaesthetist responsibilities.
